Reading Is Magic!

Gerald Edmundson, one of America's top magicians, performs and shares his love of reading with young people. He uses his skill with sleight-of-hand as a medium to show that reading opens the door to life's most exciting secrets. Reading skills suffer when modern children watch an average of six hours a day of television and videos.

The programs are forty minutes in length and are designed for a variety of age groups. The programs of classic magic, sleight-of-hand, original creations, audience participation and comedy are fun and entertaining for kids (and adults)! The artist approaches magic as an art, performs no silly "kid tricks" and never resorts to ethnic or suggestive humor.

Children see magic & sleight-of-hand presented as an art, with audience participation, comedy and fun! The presentation promotes interest & attracts children (& parents!) to the library.

Gerald Edmundson uses his skill as a sleight-of-hand artist to communicate a memorable inspirational message that connects young people with books and encourages them to improve their reading skills.
